I am now on the island of Penang and staying in the backpacker area of Georgetown. So far it has been really nice here, and a very good place just to relax.

The town has some really intersting architecture and also really excellent food. I'm staying in a pretty cool hostel and yesterday went over to the national park. We walked all the way up to the a lighthouse, and at that point it started to rain. Luckily I had an umbrella so that I didn't have to wear my coat as it was so hot, but I was one of those tourists who treks with an umbrella! We ended up getting a boat around part of the island so that we didn't have to walk the whole way back in the rain.

Today I'm going to take it fairly easy, but I plan to wander around Georgetown as there are meant to be some nice temples, etc, to see.
