I had expected Chiang Mai to be a slightly more rural, smaller Bangkok......which it was to an extent, but it was much smaller, quieter and relaxed than I had expected; basically it was incredible! Ended up staying there a week as there was heaps of things that Seth and I wanted to do; first class we took was thai cooking on an organic farm. It was a very good day and we learnt alot of new recipes, and the food we made was actually better than most of the things...

I didn't spend very much time in Bangkok as there isn't very muh here that I actually wanted to see or do. I managed to meet up with Seth again and we actually stayed in one of the nicest hostels ever, though unfortunately quite a way out of the central area. My journey to Lipe was not the best as it was the day following the night of sickness, and I spent 6 hours on a boat! Phi Phi island has the best beaches I've ever seen in my life!! Anyone that has seen the film the beach...it is that beach! The sea was unbelievably clear blue and the sand was like flour. Ended up spending quite a while on the island. It was extremely touristy but nice to meet a lot of people. There isnt actually very much to do in the town of Krabi, but it is a really nice, relaxed and cheap place to stay that is close to alot of things.
