Hello to you. At home; Wimbledon time, strawberries and raspberries, really hot and sunny, busy for the end of term preparations. For you it's 'get as much in before you leave' time!! Enjoy. Ready to skype?
Mum
I'm glad to read that you're running regularly, even though it must be very difficult in that heat and dust. Brilliant news...you've booked your ticket home. I was beginning to think that this year of travelling would be extended. Back to my report writing; pouring with rain so I'm not missing being in the garden today. Enjoy your next week at work, and speak to you soon. Loads of hugs, Mum xxxxxxxxx
Dad
Not sure what kind of tourists you are going to attract on this tour of yours but the food, unprdictable weather and "Vietnamese tourist traps" probalbly need to feature in your information guide. Not everyone is as resiliant as you Alice! Lots of Love and cuddles. xxxx
Mum
A working week?? All sounds like a pretty good job to me! Hopefully you were not offered some dog to eat this time, but that you enjoyed your time in the country with the locals. Lots and lots of love xxxxxx
Alice
Yes you have the right me. My Dad had said he had seen you and that you might be looking on here soon. As you say Evesham is going to seem odd, and I'm not sure which is going to be the bigger culture shock, coming to Asia, or going back home again!! It's nice to hear from you, and I hope you and Georgie are both doing well :-) xx

Hi Alice, am hoping like mad I've got the 'right' Alice after trawling through loads of information pages with peoples' names, etc!!! I heard from your dad when popped in to OHL's about your adventures and could hardly believe where you have been. Sounds very exciting and reading your blogs just confirms it!! Think things will seem very odd for you when you eventually come back to little old Evesham..... Though you will never be stuck for interesting conversation wherever you go. Before I write anything else had better wait just to make sure I've have found 'Alice Lowe' and not some other Alice quite by coincidence lol :) - believe me, my computer was just coming up with all kinds of random stuff before I got to this point!!! xxx

Hi Alice
Alot has happened here since I last looked. I have been all through your videos and got up to date with your photo's. Thanks you sooooo much for putting them here for us to see. A couple of thoughts spring to mind, please tell me that you do wear a helmet when you put yourself through that cycle journey each day and that you have invested in a mosquito net, how are your bites by the way? That leg must itch so much I can't imagine how it must feel. The countdown on the traffic lights seem like a really good idea, what a pity no-one takes any notice. Do you have to change your clothes when you get to work. A video of where you are living would be good to see if possible.
It looks as though you continue to enjoy yourself even though your surroundings have changed considerably. Hope you have settled into working life and are finding the work worthwhile.
Life in Mabbottland is fine. We have just come back from a Royal Wedding weekend up in the Lake Distict at the house, we took Granny Jean with us. Did you get to see any of the wedding, it was amaaazin, as you might guess I really enjoyed it. Merlin, our new chap is settling in very well, just a few "issues" to sort out before he can truly be considered to be part of the gang. Ned loves him but Heidi tends to keep him at arms length (I think she consideres him to be abit stupid) Progress on the chicken front, a friend of a friend is moving house and has offered me her 4 ladies and all the parafanalia that goes with. So I am busy getting a space ready.
When are you coming home (are you coming home) we miss you.
Take care, go safely (bit of a joke that having watched your 29 parts !!) and enjoy.
Lots of love from me, Uncle Trevor and the dogs XXXXX

The cu chi tunnels...what is going on in that photo? I'm wondering if you went down under the ground or did you just try out the tunnel for size? It looks most interesting...though maybe not for people who don't like small spaces (me!)
Love, as always, Mum xxxxxxx

Good to see some photos on this blog; well done you. I guess you put them on while you were poorly. I hope that you're feeling better now. Enjoy the bike riding to and from work. Lots of love and hugs, Mum xx

Briiliant! Great update, good to hear from you at last. Probably better that I didn't know what was going on when you first arrived; it all sounds too scarey. I hope that you'll continue to now enjoy the regular work and not wish that you were still travelling. I wonder how many volunteers just give up and run home screaming!! Great experiences. Good for the soul! Always missing you, take care, love and hugs, Mum xxxxxxxxx

Hi Alice, thank you so much for your kind thoughtful email. Uncle Trevor and I are devastated and as you might guess I am heartbroken. All that said Lottie was an old lady (although she didn't look it). Thankfully she didn't experience alot of pain and she gave us 3 wonderful days prior to her death, but then she was a truly remarkable dog. Heidi and Ned seem sad and out of sorts, but I'm sure that they and we will settle down soon. Thank you for caring. Lots of Love Arntee Elaine and the gang minus one. XXXX

I'm looking forward to trying some of the food that you will cook for us when you return...all sounds good. I expect it tastes better when you're sitting on a beach, though! Great pictures on Facebook, and a lovely selection of winter clothes in the post, thanks (with a 'been in a parcel' smell!!.)
Enjoy the next bit as you travel on through Vietnam. Love and hugs, Mum xxxx
