We spent 3 nights in the lovely Mykonos. Our hotel, hotel Aphrodite was situated right next to Kalafatis beach. I swear the water here is the perfect hangover cure. A quick dip in the clear crystalline water and you're cured. One night we had a toga party by the hotel pool with our contiki group. You had to wrap a sheet up around you and sling a part over your shoulder. I must say it was a struggle putting these things on after a few drinks! It was happy hour for our contiki group before we made our way out. We went to down under bar, that wasn't Aussie at all. We all got free shots though. Molly and I helped the Greek man out the front get Aussies to come inside, because he was struggling haha. Our awesome tour manager Courtney, walked us to a joint called Scandinavian bar. I think its owned by Swedes I'm not sure though. It was pumping upstairs on the d floor and all the lights were going off. I even had a dance on the bar top which was sick. Another night most of us went to a ministry of sound dj set at the famous Paradise club. There was a bright blue pool in the middle of the club that was huge. you weren't aloud to swim in it though which sucks. We tipped the bar tenders so they kept giving us free drinks which was good for our wallets! The dj was pretty good but no one knew when ministry actually started. Still, it was a fun night with all our new mates. The 4 30am bus home was also a fun way to get home through the steep windy roads, that's for sure. The next day we weren't feeling our best but we had to go to a beach party at Paradise beach. It's called Cavo Paradiso. It was actually a pretty cool place right on the beach with a really big bar, plenty of tables and chairs and benches people could dance on. However the three of us were feeling a bit under the weather. It took me about an hour to finish one corona! So we ate gyros (pronounced eur-oz) that is chcken or pork wrapped in toasted pita bread with salad and chips inside. An epic combination! Apart from going out, we lazed by the hotel pool and the beach in Mykonos too. The sightseeing was left for Santorini. There's no way I can get my photos from my camera right now so I'll upload what I can from my phone.
