Arrived at Magnetic Island today and its beautiful. Got the greyhound bus to Townsville at 9 this morning which took about 6 hours and then took a ferry over to Magnetic Island. Staying at another Base Backpackers but this one is not exactly like the ones in NZ, I've got a little hut on the beach and its like a holiday resort, its so nice.

Not entirely sure what I'm going to do with my 2 days yet but there's lots of snorkelling, jet skiing and diving to be had out here. It seems quite a bit hotter than in Cairns, I think because there isnt so much cloud, its about 30C today, a perfectly comfortable temperature, especially for winter.

Will post again when I've explored a little more of the island. Hopefully the Italians will come this way in their car-I miss their cooking xxx
