On day 39 I headed into the CBD again to make sure I had explored everything I wanted to do whilst being in Melbourne, as I had done all I wanted to do I looked around the CBD itself and browsed some of the shops and museums it had to offer. For a change the weather actually stayed nice and sunny all day so it was good to sit outside and enjoy my lunch in the sunshine. After a day exploring the city I headed back to the house and started to pack things up as I will be moving on to Sydney Friday night on the bus, I also had a quick kick about with Sam & Josh as a well-deserved break from packing.
On day 40 I cleaned my room from top to bottom and also cleaned the bathroom, as it was the least I could do for Susie & Peter as they have been so kind in looking after me and putting a roof over my head for a few more days. Just before I made myself lunch Susie and the boys were going out to meet a friend so I said my farewells to them as I probably wouldn't see them again, because I would have left for the city. I caught the 48 Tram for the last time into Collins Street where I headed to Chloe's Bar to go and watch the cricket because England are doing so well, NOT!!! And whilst having a beer I met Zhem who was a Kiwi but had moved to Australia for a few years now, it was nice meeting him as he gave me some advice about New Zealand, which was much appreciated. I then walked along Collins Street to go and say goodbye to Jim & Miranda as they were also kind enough to house me and also print off my ticket for the bus that evening. We all headed off to Southern Cross station where they very naughtily treated me to some Chinese which we all shared for dinner so that was a nice surprise. I then caught my 7pm bus from there and headed to the bright lights of Sydney which would arrive in Sydney at 7am in the morning.
