On Day 36 as it was raining again, much to my annoyance I thought of doing something that would help me not to get wet and keep me indoors so as I had a discount voucher I headed to the Melbourne Aquarium, which was a great way to enjoy such a miserable day. In the aquarium they had 12 zones that covered all the thousands of different species of water creatures they had there, it was a very well laid out place that let people hold a starfish (which by the way feel very odd), get close to sharks and some exotic tropical fish, and also gaze upon their star attraction which is one of the world's largest living Salt Water Crocodiles who I have to admit was humungous and I wouldn't like to of met him in a swamp somewhere in the outback, luckily though he was pretty chilled out and just enjoying the heat coming off the lights in his tank/enclosure. Just before you leave I felt that they saved the best animals till last because they had a nice enclosure which was the home to King Penguins and Gentoo Penguins, I have always loved penguins for the fact they are born entertainers with the way they waddle with the wings behind them and then way they emerge from the water and take off and then land on the ice after exiting the water was a highlight for me. It was also pretty amusing when the keepers came out with their lunch because there was suddenly a mass shuffle of waddling Gentoo penguins up to the water tank area, I shall upload some of the pictures and videos now, I hope you enjoy them as much as I did. But a great day out if anyone is in Melbourne, slightly expensive but just take your time and enjoy your money's worth. And whilst there you will solve a great life mystery like I did when I was there in the fact I FOUND NEMO, he has been in Melbourne all along.
Thanks for reading my blog, I hope it gives you a slight snippet of my travels and I will do my best to keep it updated! Speak to you all soon.
