Set off to Utah so far our most favourite state. It's Hot hot! We are in Moab-
Some people went on a hummer tour we chilled at camp. I need to start quoting Rachel quotes- she announced to a tour guide she doesn't believe thy dinosaurs are real. Odd girl.
Woke at 4am to start a sunrise hike.
Some people struggled so a group of us carried on Mart was elected scout and he managed to veer us off the trail. It was so hard Had to jump massive gaps. We realised we were lost accidently managed to find Liz again...we watched the sunrise over the canyons at delicate arch view point- the most amazing thing I've ever witnessed.
On way back down found the path we were meant to follow and there were signs. Oops.
Walked to balance rock- wont last forever and it doesn't look very star! .went visitors centre- watched a really dramatic America film about how the arches are formed.
Back to camp. Mart went to the brewery.
I was boiling so joined some of the others swimming in the Colorado river. Amazing view. Canyons either side and the water was just cold enough to cool you down an it had a little sandy shore although I blistered my foot the sand was so hot. We'd brought lilos from the dollar store and just floated for a few hours.
Back to camp. Huge pizzas before we started our sunset hike. Slightly less challenging thank god. There was a lightning storm so couldn't actually see sunset but we had fun in the windows arches spelling Utah and trek with our bodies and posing for pensive shots ha this over eager woman started taking photos of us all.
Off to monument valley today with the navjo Indians ...grand canyon tomorrow can't believe that's come around already???
