Silvia's world travel adventures
Weekend falls on a Friday and Saturday in the middle east. I joined my host family to their Holy Trinity Church which is usual 4 hour service, however I was only there for 3 hrs and surprisingly didn't feel that long as the servie justs seemed to flow. It was also interesting to see how church happens on this side of the world. The hall which can seat 1100 people was packed and everyne was eager to praise God and listen to what message God had layed on the paster/reverends heart.
We had lunch at an Indian place in Lycia Mall. After our meal we went home and waited for the Desert Safari Pick up. After waiting for a while, Kiru called just to ascertain that they had forgotten about us. Thank God Kiru's brother was there to take us to a garage around 25min away where a lady picked us up and took us to the Desert on the way to Oman. It turns out she's the owners wife. Baring the initial scare that I may be deprived of the desert safari experence the rest was just awesome.
Few words come to mind...Sand angels, private 4x4 extreme dune riding, sun set, Bedouin Camel camp, traditional Arabbian Buffet with belly dancing entertainers, Heena art, Arabian dress up photo's...the safari was truly amazing and a must when visiting Dubai!
Praise God for an amazing time and for blessing me with such amazing people to stay with and who took me around!
