Last day of my Spanish classes and umm can't really say that there's muchos Hablo's going on here, but it's a good foundation for my trip I think. I even got a certificate to prove I sat in a class for 20 hours this week...it doesn't actually say anything about merit :0
After class and the certificate ceremony Rona and I moved from upmarket central street "Florida street" to an area called Abasto. This is the home of late tango singer Carlos Gardel and a lot of dodgy characters. The way I see it is moving from a lovely part of High Street Kensington to Camdon town. The place we are staying, Chill house has a lovely rooftop chill area and is central to the Subte (underground) and bus routes to Palerma/Recoleta (really nice areas).
We went to our local bakery (Le Violette) and an 80 year old Violette (who is not the owner...go figure), but attempted to have what seemed to be an intriguing convo in (broken) Spanish. We also had awesome Empanadas (small -medium pastries filled with fillings of choice which usually is meat, cheese and ham, spinach or the like) along with the cafe con Leche (Latte or coffee with milk directly translated)
A local restaurant was recommended for dinner and was lovely. We had an Argentinian speciality called Milanese. One thing is for sure...at this stage I cant get enough of their gauchos (I mean cows)!
