Today's trip was to Peritio Merino Glacier, probably one of the best known glaciers in Pategonia. It was about an hours drive from el Calafate Initially I was wondering how we would be able to spend a day at the glacier, however as the glacier front runs for 5km it soon became clear there is more than enough to see. The ice formations are fascinating and the blend of white and bright blue colours are entrancing. Pretty impressive views indeed! The majestic ice fields seem to run infinitely into the mountains.
