Had to say goodbye to Carol and Carl as they were off home (shame we didn't have longer with them, especially cruising). Today we started our own Grand Tour of Paris, taking in the Champs-Élysées, Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Trocadero, Place de la Concorde, Dianna's Memorial and the Opera. Had lunch on the Champs-Élysées and was very impressed at the price given what we had paid for 2 coffees the other day. (not at George V but another cafe a bit closer to the Arc de Triomphe). On the way back to the hotel we picked up the typical Travellers dinner - fresh bread, cheese, sausage and a bottle of Champagne. A nice way to spend the evening after a day of walking.
