Well weve had a manic two days, 2nd day of travelling we still had no bags so we decided to do the temples. Since weve been in bangkok weve always been on the lookout incase we got scammed and i thought weve been doing alright but i think its fair to say we got scammed big style on sunday. APPARENTLY we didnt have the correct attire to visit the temples so we got told we needed to hire some clothes outside the temple. Fair enough im not one to disrespect them monks but i got given the most hideous pants you have ever seen and louise was dressed head to toe in some orange and white hawian shirt we looked a right pair.
Just imagine us two walking around in the scorching heat with
1000's of tourists basically pointing and laughing at us, ....... and not even behind our backs it was so blatent it was like we were the main attraction. People were taken photos of us more than the temples!! You will be able to see for yourselves shortly.
Its quite strange just seeing monks walking about, getting into taxis and that. i keep thinking they are them special
shoalin monks, you know the ones that do the ninja moves but these ones are pritty normal.
Anyway our bags came that night and within 10 mins our stuff was everywhere and our room was a right mess! Next on our to do list
the floating markets, bridge over the river kwai and tiger temple.
the Bridge over the river Kwai was just in on the package i dont really know much about the history but i was told from the tour
operatour that "YOUR PEOPLE DIE HERE, THEY DIE, THEY DIE" so were going to check it out.
