This morning we awoke and did our usual Special K for breakfast before we got ready to head to Cannes for my birthday. We headed for the train station keen to avoid buy two sets of tickets as we had done yesterday. We awoke this morning feeling tired and lazy and so we had no intention of having a long day. The plan was to wander around Nice and see what sites it had to offer and then go for a swim. After breakfast we walked down the Avenue Jean Jaures which is the main street in Nice. It has two trams that run down it which were only built this year. Today we visited the Palace of Versailles. After a very slow start this morning we made our way into Paris and located the station we needed to catch our train to the Palace - only to find it temporarily closed.....Being the clever people that we are, we sorted out that problem and made it out to Versailles. Today we woke up to breakfast containing Coco Pops, Corn Flakes, Baguettes and OJ. Nice... We headed back to the hop on hop off tour to do the loop properly and get some good photos.
