Today we visited the Palace of Versailles. After a very slow start this morning we made our way into Paris and located the station we needed to catch our train to the Palace - only to find it temporarily closed.....Being the clever people that we are, we sorted out that problem and made it out to Versailles. Today we woke up to breakfast containing Coco Pops, Corn Flakes, Baguettes and OJ. Nice... We headed back to the hop on hop off tour to do the loop properly and get some good photos. We were up at the crack of dawn this morning to catch our train from Grays into London so we could make our 7:30am Euro star trip to Paris. The trip on the Euro Star takes about 3 hours, so with the time difference, we were in Paris at 11:30. We arrived at Gare Du Nord and caught a Metro (underground train) to a stop near our hostel (St Christophers). The metro is hot and stinky and looks confusing on a map but is not really that bad once you get the swing of it...
