So Stacy got to Brighton around 5:45 am. She was a little clueless with directions but I found her okay. We slept in this morning - needless to say she was tired.
We went to the Brighton Pier where we played a bunch of the arcade games, all of which were pretty cheap in comparison to arcades at home.
After the pier we wandered around the lanes, checked out the Royal Pavilion, got crepes and cookies and did some window-shopping. Then we made our way back to the main part of the Lanes to where the Burning of the Clocks parade started. This was really cool. It was a long procession, largely of children, with paper lanterns, Christmas lights, stilts and drumlines. We followed it through the Lanes until it got to the beach. Here all of the lanterns were put in this cage-like structure on the beach, which was set on fire and had fireworks coming out of it. It was all very fun and cool, although I was disappointed that none of the lanterns were set to float in the ocean.
