Goodbye LV. Hitting the road about 10am, after planning to leave about 9, our first stop was 2min down the road at McDonalds for breakfast. Needed to fuel up for our 7hour drive to Yosemite NP, our next stop. The scenery was the highlight of the drive as we passed from scrubby hills, through Death Valley that had no plant growth whatsoever, and on through magnificent pine forests. Reaching Yosemite, the terrain became on of stunning mountains, waterfalls, streams and pines. A mix up in bookings saw us camped about an hours drive from where we were hoping to stay, but all was good. We'd look for somewhere closer in the morning.
