We ended up seeing three very different shows during the 3 days we spend in LV. The first, 'O' was a Cirque de Soleil production. The main stage had a platform that lowered and formed a large swimming pool. A major, very professional production. The second was called 'Zombie Burlesque' and was a small fun production full of laughs. We also went to one with a hypnotist and that was also very funny.
The days were over 45 degrees, so time was spent mainly in casinos, food outlets, and the hotel pool. The hotel we were staying in, LSL Las Vegas was at the far end of 'The strip', but a monorail from the hotel ran the length of the strip making transport issues a non-event. Some of the casinos rival the size of a Westfield shopping centre. The Venetian Casino has a canal with gondolas and a mock up of St Marks Square along with a large arcade of shops and of course a full casino and towers of accommodation.
The Paris Casino has all things French, even the Eiffel Tower. The shopping arcade looks like a village street, with decorative floors, shop fronts and a ceiling imitating blue sky, complete with wispy clouds.
We were only planning on staying 2 nights, but thanks to Amanda and Aaron and a current hotel promotion, we secured free 3rd nights! Thanks guys xx
