I'm starting to get more work, one-to-one lessons and not just at my school but at a school about 30 minutes from where I am. I have yet to figure out exactly where this other school is. The driver from that school came to fetch me and brought me back home again.
My afternoon was filled with back to back lessons. To say I was totally exhausted when I got back home is an absolute understatement! All the lessons were for kiddies ranging from 3 years old to 6 years old. As fun as it is teaching little ones, it's also tiring as they have the attention span of a flea so every 3-4 minutes I need to change to something else. Doing this for 30 minutes in my regular classes is okay but try doing it for 60 minutes!
The school I went to is also huge, a house converted to a school. At the entrance they have quite a few chandeliers and the stairs leading up to the second and third floor are all marble. They don't have a private room for one-to-one lessons so all my lessons were held in one of their regular classrooms with teachers and students walking in and out. It was very distruptive!
The children are definitely not as well behaved as the kiddies at the school I'm at. They shout out, run around and just in general do not listen to any of the teachers. I arrived there at lunch time, so was served a lunch by their cook. I may be biased when I say this, but our cook, Afelia, is a much better cook and definitely friendlier!
