Once we left Brisbane we headed to a place just outside of the Gold Coast where the Oz Experience people had a chance to go zorbing. We arrived in Brisbane at about 1pm after our short journey from Noosa and we ended up spending the next 2 hours in the transit centre waiting for our transfer to the hostel. We arrived in Hervey Bay on Saturday night and both decided to have a really nice meal as we had been out in the wilderness for the past few weeks! After the meal (and a couple of cocktails) we headed to bed to catch up on some well earned sleep from all the 5am starts. After Fraser Island we left Hervey Bay and travelled the short journey to Rainbow Beach. This was a compulsory overnight stop with the oz bus. Most people do Fraser Island from either Hervey Bay or Rainbow Beach, we're glad we did it from Hervey as there is nothing to do in Rainbow. It's a nice little town, but very sleepy and everything shuts at 8! From Rainbow we went on to Noosa. Noosa is apparently the retirement home for the people of Sydney and Melbourne. ...

We left Kial early friday morning and had to say many goodbyes at both humans and animals, it was really sad to leave as we had such a wonderful time over the past three weeks and the place started to feel like home! We spent the morning at Rocky Zoo and had a good look round at all the animals that Tina, Pete and Ryan had told us about.
