Early start up at 4:15am for the Grand Canyon stopping at Hoover dam on the way. I think it was about a three hour drive the final part being over a dirt road through the Arizona desert. The landscape is amazing very baron but scattered with Joshua trees most of which are over 500 years old. We did the skywalk which was amazing and a little nerve racking but I am glad I did it. You are not allowed to take cameras out there they say it is to protect the skywalk surface but its really so that they can monopolise photo taking to make big dollars. Yes we bought the photos they are on a USB so can't upload them on the ipad but they are stunning. Zoe and Jaydene are lying on their stomaches one the glass platform 4000 ft above the Colorado river. The two view points of the west rim are incredible and people seem fearless perching on the edge to take photos. no photos seem to do this place justice. its not until a helicopter flys in front of the canyon face in the distance that you can gauge the scale of the canyon. we made stops at hick 'towns' on the way back. Someone pointed out a house that had recently burnt down due to their meth lab exploding.
Small Accident a street away from the hotel when the bus hit a car. High drama. Definitely do not like the seedy side of this place but the natural wonders here are really something.
Last day here today then off to Anaheim in the morning. Luv to you all and trust all is well.
