Now sitting on Amtrak train 141 to Washington DC. Weather forecast is for a warm 12 degrees Celsius but looking out the window I don't think this will be right. Just leaving Philadelphia Station. Should have caught this train the other day to explore Philly rather than take the rushed bus tour. Yesterday was our last day in New York so made the most of it by taking a carriage ride through Central Park and visiting the Wollman Ice Skating Ring and Central Park Zoo...

Visit to Philadelphia today and a lesson in all things Amish. Such a beautiful city, houses look so different than home with a US flag flying patriotically in every other yard. The weather was wet but no snow - it was such a shame the tour was so rushed. It took longer to strip off jackets and empty bags and pockets for security than the time we could stop at each attraction, which included the Liberty Bell and Constitution Hall.
