Today, we headed out early to catch a boat for the 'Poor Knights Islands'. One of the top ten best dive sports in the world. It's a small island, abut 25km off the coast, and all set aside as a marine reserve.
What a day we had. The morning we spent snorkelling around, in water around 15m deep, looking at lots of little fishes. Only problem is, there were swarms of itsy bitsy jelly fish, and some larger ones too. Great to look at, but they managed to give me and Jacklyn some irritating stings. It's a lot like a nettle sting. Hurts at first, but mostly irritating.
During the afternoon, I took the opporunity to have a dive. It was great for a first time! I had intended on getting my Padi Open Water in Queensland, but that was a complete wash out. Since January, we haven't really been in one place long enough for me to do a course either! So, today's dive was the best I could hope. Really enjoyed it, and got to see a few little wonders of the sea.
