Mancora is in very north Peru and is one of the best beaches and busiest beaches in Peru.
We arrived at 6am and with no accommodation booked we got sucked into getting a random tuk tuk from there to a hostel of his. He tried to charge us 10 soles (AUS $3.60) for this 2 min ride later to find out that it should of only cost us 1 sole, we got away with only paying 5 soles still ripped off but at that time in the morning we didnt really care. The place was crap but cheap so we had a sleep and then headed out to town to pick another hostel. Casa Blanca was a little bit expensive but after 1 night in that dump we deserved it.
I hurt my toe in Huanchaco so we had a few extra days to kill before I could put on shoes to do some trekking which we had coming up. So Junior checked out kite surfing but the swell had picked up so they were not taking on any newies. Chilled out most arvos at the beach with beers watching the surfers and kite surfers.
