We got the day bus from Lima to Trujillo about 10 hours and the bus was amazing it was VIP better than Business Class in a plane. We got fed and there were amazing recliners. Straight away from Trujillo we got a taxi to Huanchaco which is a small fishing/surfing village about 12kms away.

We just picked any hostel form the Lonley Planet and turned out to be a beauty. Only $40 soles a night for a great room with own bathroom. The owner is a very eccentric Scotsman. Great place to meet people. Kinda not much to do in this town especially if there is no surf (which there isn´t at the moment) so we are thinking of heading more north to warmer weather and nicer beaches.
