The collectivo was only 1 hour from Tulum and once dropped of wewalked around for a bit trying to find a cheap hotel. We found a great place,Hotel Colorado which was only $23 a night pretty good for this area. The basketball was on so we walked around town and found a greatlittle sports bar. Tulum is a small town set on the highway and an area along the coast where there are some ruins on the beach. We stayed at a hostel on the highway which was ok. On the first day we decided to go in to town and look in to diving. We went in to a few dive shops and asked about sea diving but they all recommended diving the cenotes as they were unique to that area. We ended up going with a dutch guy for $115 USD 2 dives.Cenotes are surface connections to water pools...
