Our next mission in Columbia this time around was to head back to Cartegena and organize a sail boat to take us to Panama. We arrived in Cartegena early morning after one of the worst bus trips, they had the aircon on full all night and it was totally freezing. Even with jumper, pants, socks and sleep sheet it was our worst night on the bus. We get off in Cartegena and it was boiling and really really humid. We catch the next taxi to town and find the first cheapest hostel.
The first day we went out looking around for the best boat. We ask around and most were full but a chick was going to contact us if anything came up. We heard from her the next morning that there had been a cancellation and a boat was leaving the next day which suited us fine. We ended up on Fritz the Cat which was a massive catamaran with 17 people, 1 motorbike, 1 chef and 1 crazy captain from Austria, Fritz. People from England, Aus, Ireland, Bulgaria, Denmark, Holland, Italy, Switzerland.
As again we had already been to Cartagena we just spent the few days enjoying the old town. Cartagena is one of our favorite towns in South America. Old town is surrounded by an old wall and has a beautiful colonial feel inside.
