Lake Titicaca is the highest lake in the world that can be visited. We finally got through all the boarder crossings and made our way to the harbour. We had only 1 hour to kill untill the boat to the islands.
We found out that the island had no ATM so we had to get some money out before going but the ATM in Copacabana take our card so we had to hope we would have enough money for a few days on the island. It was about a 2 hour boat ride there on this tiny boat which was totally over crowded and going really really slow. We finally get there to find out we have to walk up hill with our massive back packs for about 50 mins and in the altitude it wasn't easy at all.
At the top we found a really nice hostel with amazing views over the city. We had met some Argentinians on the boat so we caught up with them to check out the village. We watched the locals get fall over drunk at a wedding or some kind of festival then went and had dinner. Totally overspending on the first night and then waking up in the morning to find it had been raining since we went to bed and didn't look like it was going to stop we decided to get the next boat back to mainland. A blessing in disguise because then we used the last of our money to get a bus to La Paz where they have ATMs a plenty!
