Not much to report from the capital city of Laos. It's a nice city with lots of cute cafes, bars and restaurants. But apart from that there's not much to do. We had a wonder around and went to sit by our pool for a bit but the rain started to come down again. That night we had read in the lonely planet book that this place called I-Beam was a new hip bar and restaurant that did Tapas and Salsa dancing so we headed there. It was really posh and quite expensive but we didn't really want to walk back out after we had sat down and already been given water and bread! It was a 3 course (appetiser, cold & hot) tapas menu. We chose all our dishes and drinks and then it just didn't stop. Out came food after food. It was really nice but really filling. We both nearly fell asleep on the table at the end as we were the only people left in the restaurant! We got back and went straight to bed after that.
The next day we headed to Hanoi in Vietnam.
