Gili T - arrived in Gili Trawangan by boat from Padang in Bali. First thoughts - looks like a tropical paradise. The Gili's are a group of 3 island between Bali and Lombok.
Got the famous horse and cart to our villa. It was more like a rickety box than an actual cart though! Kirstie smacked her head on the top when I stepped in. As she does!!
We stayed at Wisma Bunda it only has 5 rooms and they are really big. The bathroom is outside which was odd but don't worry it had 4 walls still. It was located about 1km to the main party strip and restaurants which was good for us.
We headed out that night to the beach for a look and then went to a restaurant. After we went to see a local reggae band play some live music. Reminded me of Barbados, it was pretty cool.
The next day we borrowed a tandem bike which was free from our hotel.
We had a funny and eventful experience that's for sure. It takes approximately 1.5 hours to get around the island and in this time we wobbled a lot, got stuck in the sand a few times, shouted at a lot of people (as our bike didn't have a bell) and nearly ran over a few toes. Luckily we didn't fall off properly. Well done Kirstie for some good steering. We came away with blisters on our hands and sore bums but we had a really good day and got to see everything. Our last stop was at sunset bar for a cocktail and to watch the beautiful sunset. It was literally one of those you see on a postcard, it turned orange, red, pink and purple. Heaven ;)

Today we head to Lombok.
