Saying for the day: Friends don't let friends eat farmed salmon. (A sign we saw recently, since we're in Salmon Country).
Lots of rain again this a.m. but it cleared after lunch, so we took a drive around. In all, we saw 11 Bald Eagles fishing right near the road by Cook Inlet. We got a couple pictures.
We stopped in at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center (a place that keeps animals that can not be placed back into the wild) and got to see some brown and black bears; and we were just in time to see their feeding. Lots of fun, they love Salmon - of course. Next we were surprised to see several bull moose, a bit shaggy looking; they're losing their Winter fur and their antlers are just coming in. They lose the antlers every Fall and regrow them in the Spring and Summer.
Musk Ox and Elk and Caribou and wolves were also at the Wildlife Conservation and the drive through was very organized and informative.
It was a fun afternoon.
How long staying: one more night
