Temp: 55 degrees
Saying for the day: It costs nothing to be a decent human being.
Another sunny, pretty day, with the mtns 360 degrees all around us and all with snow. It's like being in a mountain bowl
Eagle's Rest RV Park
This was a laundry morning, it's been awhile since we've done any and had to get to it.. Got that all done and then talked to a native of this area where to find a good Halibut meal. We were told to go to "Old Towne Burgers." What? Burgers? We checked when we went in and they said "oh yes." So Marge ordered the grilled halibut sandwich and was in her glory - it was terrific and a nice big piece. She even talked to the cook/chef after eating to make sure she knew what he put on top and to her surprise, it was" just lemon pepper and not a lot." Will had some HUGE shrimp and really enjoyed that too.
Then we mailed some things at the local Post Office and drove around a bit, found some things to take pictures of and then got back to the campground in time to go see the man who feeds the Bald Eagles again. Such fun and so windy today, they had trouble catching the fish. They will only be fed til the middle of the month, then there are plenty of fish in the rivers for them and they don't come around. At the beginning of the season the man purchases 1300 lbs. of the fish, forgot to ask, but they looked a lot like smelt. He spends a lot for that and of course, has a can out for donations.
We've decided to stay one more night to catch up on some computer work. Then off to Tok (again) on Sunday.
