Saying for the day: The less time I have to work, the more things I get done.
Head out for Valdez today, the end of the Pipeline. The skies were overcast but finally turned to sunshine. We see more spectacular views of the Matanuska Glacier.
Today was a beautiful, scenic ride. Passing a few houses here and there; otherwise, very sparsely populated. These folks are living here in the wilderness with no power and no goods nearby - but the views are to die for!
We are driving straight toward totally snow covered, mammoth mountains, mostly snow covered all year long. This is the Wrangell Mt. Range.
Stop for gas - yikes! $3.24/gal.
See the pipeline at milepost 89.
Come up on the Worthington Glacier up close and personal. We stop and eat our lunch there.
The next area of interest, is the Keystone Canyon. Just awesome beauty, but Bridal Veil Falls outdid itself in the spectacular!
Get checked into our site at Eagle's Rest RV in time to go see the feeding of the Bald Eagles, every day at 5 pm. What a sight!! At least 12 male and female Bald Eagles swooping and swerving and catching the fish in their talons, as well as their beaks. Half an hour and all are fed. This can only be done by a licensed feeder.
Arrive: Valdez, AK, Eagles Rest RV Campground
Staying: 2 nights

Bill Dinner is served.
Bill Not the happiest looking fellow.
Tricia Moore So beautiful. I especially like the waterfalls and the eagles. I don't think I have ever seen a waterfall that tall.
