Saying for the day: Life is like a coin, you can spend it on anything, but you can only spend it once.
Off to Skagway today and a new set of adventures! Lakes and more lakes, yesterday and today and some more Barrow's Goldeneye Ducks. And lots of waterfalls. U.S. Customs at 10:50 a.m. That went well, the first chatty Customs Agent we've had. Now back to the 4 hr. time difference.
We have a terrific site, right in the Marina; we have a view of cruise ships - 3 here right now, as well as trains, mountains, helicopters, and ferries. We are truly surprised at this lovely, little town and it's so clean and full of flowers and bushes in bloom.
We had some lunch and then walked into the town of Skagway. It's a quaint, old Alaska frontier looking town. Boards walks, and painted wood fronts to all of the stores. We had to wait for a steam locomotive and it's cars to get through the downtown.
Get ready for our trip to Juneau tomorrow.
