A lovely, sunny morning for travel and we see a few more of the Barrow’s Golden eye ducks swimming in the lake before we leave.

We had a pretty good drive but just a few spots that were full of frost heaves, nothing like the days before.

We stop at a beautiful emerald green lake, aptly named Emerald Lake.    The intense green color is from light reflecting off of deposits of Mari, a mixture of clay and calcium carbonate.
