Guess what today started with???? That's right...an early start & another bus journey. This time it was an 8 hour bus ride to Ho Chi Minh City. Arriving at about 14:30pm we headed to a nearby Ice Cream Parlour. It was called 'FANNY' so as you can imagine me & Joel had a good giggle to this.
That evening was our last as a group together, so we all went for a meal & some celebratory drinks for my birthday, along with the 6 new people that had joined our group. The whole group had signed he back of a postcard for me as a makeshift birthday card. Alan & Carly (our scottish buddies) had bought me a helium 'Hello Kitty' balloon & some of the Scandinavian girls had chipped in to buy me a women's straw hat that had 'Birthday Girl' written on it. Good times!!! The meal wasn't the best, it took ages for our food to come & when it did, the portions wouldn't have fitted on Jeremy Beadle's deformed hand!!! After necking quite a few beers & a cocktail appropriately named 'Happy Birthday' whilst waiting for the food, I could tell it was going to be a good night!! I managed to eat almost an entire bowl of chopped up chillis, which made me cry for a good 10 minutes & I then initiated the new group members by making them eat chilli seeds! Not sure if they were pleased or not, but hey, it was my birthday....almost!!
After the shambles that was dinner, we headed to a pub & then a club. This is where it starts to get a little hazy...I blame Joel buying me between 6-8 sambucas that I remember. Therefore, I have let Joel off his leash & he is going to be allowed to write his first blog, because I'm pretty certain he know's more about what happened than I do?!?!?!?
