Bonjour,
Our first full day in Paris and we are all exhausted and haven't even finished yet. We left our petit apartment this morning headed for the Eiffel Tower. We climbed to the 2nd level 670 stairs. I am soooo glad that my training on the 1000 steps paid off. It was a beautiful day but a little windy on the Tower. The view is amazing, this really is a magical city. Big queues to get up to the top and the same for coming down. After that we went accross the river to the Trocadero where ther is a huge ornamental pool and lots of statues. We had some lunch there and then set off for Place de la Concorde. This is the largest square in Paris and full of mad Parisian drivers. It was built in the mid 1700's and has 2 fountains, 1 obelesk, and 8 statues. We walked down the Champs Elysee and visited the Petit Palace which contains art exhibitions. Tonight we are going back into the city to catch a boat along the Seine and see "The City of Lights". Can't wait to see the Eiffel Tower all lit up. Fill you in on that tomorrow and will load up the photos. Have put on some photos from today, have a look.
Bye.
xx
