Dubai.

Arrived safely into Dubai international airport this morning at 11am. Thaey have upgraded the airport since we were here last so we didn't have to catch a shuttle from the tarmac in, instead we were right at the terminal. The weather was 38 when we arrived and climbed to a blistering 42.

Dubai is very smoggy and busy. The heat is made worse by the fact that there are no trees or grassy areas just concrete and bitumen. We went for a walk to try and find the shopping centre, no luck. We called into every second shop or bank foyer just to cool down. It is sooooo hot. We were also lucky enough to arrive during Ramadan when it is not permitted to eat or drink in public during daylight hours. Great when its 42 degrees.

The Ramada hotel is lovely and the staff very friendly. Just had a lovely buffet dinner and now its time for bed. Until Paris, bye.
