White Satin
Unfortunately the new crew forgot to bring the sunshine with them so when we were waved off by Craig it was a grey day.
The lock was on free flow so we just motored on out of Neptune Marina and down the scenic Orwell, under the bridge and past Pin Mill.
Just before Shotley Point we broke out the sails and tacked out twixt Felixstowe and Harwich before entering the Secret Waters of the Walton Backwaters.
The weather forecast prompted a change of plan - anchoring in a F7 didn't sound a good idea! Instead we followed the twists and turns of the river down to Twizzle Creek and the Titchmarsh Marina. A beautiful spot.
An epic voyage of around 14 miles - breaking the new crew in gently.
