It has been fun showing the Poms around today. We started with their must sees - the Hollywood sign and Muscle Beach at Venice Beach. We drove down to Anaheim this morning to go to Downtown Disney, the shopping/restaurant area adjacent to Disneyland. The traffic was typical LA traffic so it took us nearly 1.5hrs to get there. The Lego store was the first stop looking for the elusive Jurassic World lego which has virtually sold out worldwide. I am kicking myself I didn't buy the one I saw in Alaska. We spent today in transit - first a drive to Vancouver and then a flight to LA. The drive from Whistler to Vancouver was on the Sea to Sky Highway which is very picturesque, especially from Squamish to Vancouver. It was another beautiful day in Whistler - sun, blue sky and warm enough for only one layer! We drove up to the Whistler Sliding Centre where the bobsled, luge and skeleton was held during the 2012 Vancouver Winter Olympics. Another day full of adventure! We started the day by taking the gondola up Whistler Mountain. It is a long way up - took about 25mins to the top. Once there, we had our photos taken on the Olympic podium and looked around at the snowy vistas for a while. Then we got onto the Peak2Peak gondola which took us across to Blackcomb Mountain.
