It has been fun showing the Poms around today. We started with their must sees - the Hollywood sign and Muscle Beach at Venice Beach.
Although you can see the Hollywood sign from the building on Hollywood Boulevard, you can get slightly closer by going up into the hills a bit. We certainly weren't the only ones up there.
There was a lot of traffic heading towards Venice Beach, it took us about an hour from Hollywood but we parked easily once we arrived. We walked along the pier and then along the beach. We all took our shoes off and let the water wash around our ankles. It has been a very hot day so the cool water felt good. We walked along to Muscle Beach but there wasn't a lot of action there.
After leaving Venice Beach we went to Santa Monica pier. We parked right on the pier and walked out to the end.
We left Santa Monica just before 2pm and headed back into West Hollywood for lunch. After lunch we drove to the Beverley Hills shield and around the streets looking at the beautiful houses.
We finally headed back to the hotel stopping at the bottle shop on the way. We had about 1.5hrs to sit by the pool having a drink before heading to LAX so Caroline & Amy could get their flight to Vegas.
It was really nice to spend the day with the girls. We managed to fit in everything they wanted to do.
Tomorrow we need to get our last minute purchases and new bags to carry them all in! It will be nice to come home but it is also sad our holiday is almost finished.
