We drove down to Anaheim this morning to go to Downtown Disney, the shopping/restaurant area adjacent to Disneyland. The traffic was typical LA traffic so it took us nearly 1.5hrs to get there. The Lego store was the first stop looking for the elusive Jurassic World lego which has virtually sold out worldwide. I am kicking myself I didn't buy the one I saw in Alaska. The lady in the Lego store said to try Walmarts & Targets as some of them have the Lego. So, we sent to both but had no luck.
We had to watch the time today as we had to go to LAX to pick up Caroline and Amy who were flying in from the UK. Caroline is Robyn's friend and Amy is her daughter. They are passing through LA on their way to Vegas. It is their first time in LA so we will spend tomorrow doing the touristy things in LA before taking them back to the airport for an 11pm flight.
It was after 8pm when we got back to the hotel so after Caroline & Amy checked in, we went down to the Hard Rock cafe for cocktails and dinner. The girls were pretty tired so we didn't stay out too long.
It took a bit of adjusting to the LA weather. It is hot and humid. I think I would much rather have the cold and snow of Alaska. At least that is invigorating!
