It was a long drive from Blue River to Whistler - about 6.5hrs - but we came through some spectacular mountain scenery.we went up and down mountains, through rain, fog and sun. The bear adventure continues! Today we saw black bears!!!!! We left Jasper and headed for Blue River. It was raining and not long after leaving Jasper we crossed into British Columbia where we gained an hour. We went up and down mountains and past lakes and creeks. Many of them had signs up saying they were salmon habitats. The mountain scenery was beautiful. I looked up today's weather and saw it was going to be 18 degrees in Jasper today. I definitely got overexcited and decided to wear sneakers instead of boots today. Stupid decision considering we were going up the Jasper tramway this morning. It took us up to over 2000m where it was -2 degrees. Luckily our coats were in the car and we had those with us. The tramway goes up Whistlers Mountain which takes it name from the marmots who live up there. They communicate...

We met some Aussies in Alaska who told us to be sure to visit Moraine Lake when we were at Lake Louise as it was even more spectacular. They also said to go early because it gets very crowded. We drove there this morning arriving about 8.45am. It was a cool morning but much colder up the mountain. The car shows the outside temperature and it was -4.
