Cliff Head South Campground - Geraldton-Lyndon-Kalbarri, ~255 km
Accommodation: Kalbarri Anchorage Caravan Park, $94 2 nights powered site, 2 people
Quick stop at Country Time Caravans in Geraldton to get a new deep-cycle battery fitted to the camper.
Visited the HMAS Sydney II memorial at Mount Scott in Geraldton. Both the memorial and the walkway have been very well done.
Next stop Northhampton and the Shearing Shed Cafe for lunch - drover's platter was excellent.
Stopped at Lyndon for a very quick look at the remains of a convict hiring camp before continuing along to Hutt Lagoon (Pink Lake). Research indicated this was worth a visit but damned if we could find stop points along the road that we took.
Stopped at Kalbarri National Park to check out Island, Natural Bridge, Shellhouse Grandstand and Eagle Gorge. Views were pretty good. It's no wonder the Dutch didn't settle here, the cliffs are pretty imposing and the landscape is scrub, the soil is even worse.
