16/10/2009 - Me and tom both slept on the lower bunk on the sleeper train coz i was scared i was goign to fall out of the top one, it was a little squished but we managed to get some sleep. As we got in the taxi from the train station to our hotel i got a text from jen to say that she and jerri were on their way from the airport! talk about good timing! so we agreed to meet in the reception of our hotel, when we got there they hadnt arrived yet then i got a text from jen saying that the cab man was a little lost! Eventually they made it and they looked all western with their straight hair and clean clothes.We helped them check in then gave them time to have a little nap as they were very tired! After their nap we took them to khao san road on a tuk tuk and they both looked very scared haha. We had some lunch with them then sent them off in another tuk tuk to go and visit the Grand Palace. We had agreed to meet our mate from home, josh on khao san road later in the afternoon so we had some time to kill before then, we had a little wander then the heavens opened so we ran into an irish bar and played some pool. Whilst playing pool i noticed on the tv that Stephen Gately has died :( whats that all about!? what else have we been missing!!
We then met josh for a few beers and it was really nice to catch up with him as he has been travelling south east asia for the past month. We told him that we were off to koh samui and he has not been there yet so think we managed to convince him to come join us there.
In the evening we had our last meal with our tribal trek group, Nhoi took us to a little thai restuarant and order lots of different thai dishes for us to try. There were some really spices ones that we had a little try of, and tom really like the fish that we is chilli sauce. The heavens oped again so we waited in there for a bit until it eased, then we said our farewells to Nhoi and headed to khao san were we had arranged to meet jenni, jerri and josh. As we were walking down we saw that they had managed to find each other so we went in the bar that they were in a had a few drinks. Some of the group joined us but some went back to the hotel. Then we took them to the roof top bar that me and tom both liked from our previous time in bangkok. It went down a treat and we bumped into a few more people from the tribal group. We played a few drinking in there then we went to a club at the end of the road. It played soem really good music and we all had a little dance then before we knew it was closing so off to bed we went.

Day 2 - We felt a little rough when we woke up but not as rough as jen who had been sick and couldnt stomach any breakfast lol. We said our last goodbye to the rest of the group from the tribal trek then packed our stuff up ready to go to the airport. We managed to squeeze all four of us into a tiny cab with our big backpacks. We checked in successfully at the airport and headed for the departures. I bought myself the beach to read seen as we are heading to the island were it was filmed. Then we had soem lunch but jen still couldnt face eatign any food. Jerri and jen told us some funny stories about there childhood which had us laughing then we went to our gate. When we got there there was no people, no staff and no plane!! So we sat down and waited and played some top trumps. Then it chucked it down again and it was time for a plane to leave but it still wasnt there. We had a go on the free internet then the plane finally arrived and we boarded. It was a pretty descent plane, better than the ones we get to like spain.
