Well we made it home in one piece. We are happy to be home and and also dissapointed as it was truely a trip of a lifetime.

We are continuing the journy sth and so far we are still enjoying ourselves too much and still dont have the urge to just head home. We were hoping to camp at a place called Thunderbird park in the Tamborine mountains (about 30k's inland from the goldcoast) but due to the Qld school holidays starting a week before the Vic holidays and catching us a little unaware the place was book out. Our plans from here to home were big days in the car with an overnight stops on the side of the rd when needed and a couple of nights in our chosen spots. We were headed a road side spot just past Charters Towers, but i had pulled a muscle in my shoulder/upper back area that morning and by the time we hit Charters i could hardly move and wouldn't be much help in setting up the camper so we decided to get a cabin for the night. We are still in Cairns and on fri we had one of our best days out yet. We started off by being picked up by a bus out the front of the park and were basically given a tour of Cairns as we were the first pickup of the day. The Kuranda train line was originally put in for the gold rush but now is a tourist train from Cairns to Kuranda.
