Well we made it to Birdsville woo hoo. This is the first time we have had internet access for a week so the updates have been a bit slow. The night before we left Rawnsley Park we had a camper park next to us completly covered in mud, he had just come from Arkaroola and that was the way we were headed the next day so we were a bit unsure what sort of roads we were going to hit. Well we made it to the Flinders Ranges. we found our campsites at Rawnsley Park station next to Nan and Pop (we spend 4 days with them here and catch them again in alice). Its bloody cold here we struggle to get into double digits during the day and have about 2-4 degrees during the night, last night it rained all night and its still raining now. Well we made it to Renmark today, it's been such a hard week but we made it :-). We have met up with the Brennan/ Holt clan (our travelling companions for the next 4 weeks) and we are spending the night in a motel room at the Renmark Golf Club. Tomorrow we hit the road early and start the real part of our holiday at the Flinders Ranges wooo hooo very excited.

We leave next sat the 9th. I have finished work, the kids have finished school and Fiona has another week of work to go. I spent yesterday getting the car ready fitting the mud tyres, roofrack, rear storage system to the back of the car and packing the recovery gear and spare parts. Fiona spent the day packing food and getting the camper organised. I have downloaded Willie Nelson's song "on the road again" and im threatening the kids we will be singing it everyda...

2 weeks until we leave and 1 week until im finished work :-), im a bit scared im going to forget something. Ive planned, checked and double checked everything and im sure we are going to forget at least 1 important thing.
