"Happy Birthday to Emily" While we were at Port Macquarie Emily had her 7th birthday. After the usual unwrapping of presents (ipod, zhu zhu pets etc) we were off to the cinema to watch the smurf movie (it was ok) we then went to the local pancake restaurant for lunch and off to the Koala hospital for a guided tour. After learning about sick Koala's we went back to camp and Emily smashed her chocolate pinata cake followed by her favorite dinner of taco's.
The next day we packed up the camper ready to hit the road for another big road trip to Nowra. This was the last time we packed the camper as i have softed out a bit with the weather getting damn cold and wet and booked cabins for the last 2 stops. This drive was also the last of Harry potter for us as we have been listening to all 7 of the audio books since we left 3 months ago (harry wins). We stopped at Grady's campground just out of Nowra, it's a private campground by the shoalhaven river and could be a really nice place but it has a lot of privatly owned onsite van's which make it look like a feral shanty town. Im glad i booked a cabin as it was freezing and poured rain half the night and was still raining when we left.
Our next stop is Canberra our nations capital we hadn't booked anything and had real trouble finding a cabin to stay in (they were all booked out yet their is hardly anyone here??????). Today we will take a look around and visit the mint, war memorial, museum and maybe keep an eye out for julia and visit parlament house. Tomorrow we hit the road for the last time for the trek back to Nagambie and hopefully we have somewhere to stay.
