Monday 5th March

Today was going to be purely traveling and not much fun but I was ready to move on. A taxi picked me up at 5.30am from the hostel to take me to the bus station where I picked up the 6.00am bus to Ballarat. So slept on the bus for most of the time and we arrived in Ballarat for 9.30am and here was the bit I was not looking forward to, my bus to Adelaide was not until 10.00pm!! And there is not a great deal todo in Ballarat let me tell you. So pretty much wondered around the town for most of the morning, luckly there were lockers at the bus station so I could leave my bags there! In the afternoon Iwalked to Lake Wendouree which is just out of the centre only to find that it was dried out due to the drought. So I found a bench and read my book for most of the afternoon. After grabbing a Mc Donalds for my tea I went to the pictures to see Music and Lyrics with Hugh Grant, its ok, wait for the dvd to come though. Then I only had a couple of hours left until the bus was due so I waited at the bus station cafe.

Got on the bus and great I had two seats to myself so I coud stretch out. But after being up since 4.00am I just couldn't sleep on the bus!! I can usually sleep anywhere, any time. But the break times through out the night didn't help either, so by the time I arrived in Adelaide at 5.10am I had been awake for 24 hours!! I felt almost jet lagged and we had to put our watches back 1/2 hour too.
