Well folks, Peter has now had the wow factor of seeing THE BRIDGE and THE OPERA HOUSE!!!! I'll never forget the feeling 10 years ago when I first saw them. After arriving at our hotel yesterday, with an upgrade to a fab room on 13th floor and a balcony overlooking a bit of the harbour And 2 sails of the Opera house. We went walk about! its about25 mins walk down thru Hyde Park to the harbour.The place is buzzing. All preparations are in place for the fireworks tonight. So many people taking photos, it was a stunning sunny evening and we just wandered around for a couple of hours. A huge cruise ship, The Carnival Spirit was just leaving - fancy leaving before NYE!!!!! So a decision had to be made as the sun was setting over Circular quay. To Eat????? It would be rude not to, so we got a table at the Oyster Cove overlooking the Bridge. Half a dozen Oysters, Olives, Crab linguini for him, Flathead fish n chips for me, 2 very nice chilled glasses of Char don neyyyyy!!! God, how wonderful.

So today is NEW YEARS EVE. My dear friend Lisa lives in Sydney, shes to blame for my love of Sydney from 10 years ago when we first met up. I worked a few doors from where her Mum worked in Corby many years ago and so Peter and I are meeting up for a longgggg lunch with Lisa and a good bit of reminiscing in an hours time. Then itll be off to the harbour for those fireworks!!!! Must go, bye 4 now xxx HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all from Peter and I, lots of love to my very special family, 2013 was a wonderful wedding-fuelled year.
